I think it is totally acceptable, but bearing in mind his age, there was some sitting down during the performance, instrumentals. He kept the audiences' attention and did many clothes changes. Though he could have found a better accompanying act. Dermot Kennedy, she should retire gracefully. Its like listening to an old lady try to squeak down the microphone. She hardly moved around and struggled to keep going, it was clear. Sounded dreadful, and covered up as much as possible with her wig covering her face most of the time, she didn't do any full clothes changes. I would have skipped that part of the event had I known beforehand, with her screeching down the microphone. Others did leave half way through her set.
